USPS® Announces Proposed 2017 Postage Rate Increase

On October 12, 2016, the USPS® filed their notice with the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) for Mailing Services.  If approved, the new rates will take effect January 22, 2017.

This increase would represent a 2 cent increase to First-Class Mail (1 oz); returning the price back to where it was before the removal of the exigent surcharge.

There would be no change to Postcards, International Letter or First-Class Letters additional ounces.

The proposed rate change benefits PC Postage and postage meter users with a .5 cent savings.
